MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN
Howdy to everyone! I hope everyone is well and getting ready for another great year of reenacting. Those of us who were able
to go to training camp had a great time and we had some new folks join us for the weekend. We hope to see Zach and Cole more
in the future. We had thirteen folks all together and a visit from Captain Cordell and Sargent Hensley from Co. K on Saturday.
We all need
to continue to remember Gary Story and his family in our prayers and also Ronnie “Runt” Travis and his family.
Of course we should always remember all of our reenacting family and friends in these difficult times. Please call me or Chaplain
Wayne with any special requests or needs.
We have our next event coming up in Tryon on March 25-27. This is a nice small event with our good
friends the 2NCMI. I will be calling everyone soon with specifics and I hope to see everyone there. This is a MAX EFFORT event!
Please bring both uniforms, last year we had to galvanize a few troops to help Smitty even out the numbers. This is a living
history heavy event, so bring things to show spectators and expect to talk to a lot of folks. We had a really great time last
year and I expect this year to be just as good or better.
We spent some time at training camp getting our schedule arranged and
the events are listed on our Calendar page on this website. Please look it over carefully and make plans to attend as many
events as possible. We will be discussing some other things at Tryon, so please make every effort to attend that weekend. I will be changing
my email address soon and will send it to everyone as soon as I know what it will be. My mailing address and phone numbers
are unchanged. Please contact me if I can be of service in any way. Thanks so much and I will see you at Tryon!

Welcome!
We are an association of living historians representing two impressions from the 1861-1865 era: the 22nd North
Carolina Infantry Regiment, Company B (CSA) and the 3rd North Carolina Mounted Infantry (Kirk's Raiders, USA). Our association participates
in reenactments primarily in Western North Carolina and regions of adjoining states, and our goal is to be an historically
accurate and informative group of reenactors telling the fascinating story of the War Between the States / Civil War in our region.
We are family-friendly and open to all qualified persons, and we enjoy great fellowship in all of our activities. In
all that we do we seek to honor the courage and dedication of the fighting men we portray, and make their sacrifices real
to the 21st-century generation. Please explore the following pages, and note that information will be updated regularly.
Contact information for company officers can be found at the top of the Event Calendar page, and we welcome your
inquiries.
